Mission

Syarpa's mission is to bridge the gap between our customers and their loved ones through a safe, simple, and swift way of sending and receiving money, regardless of the currency, regardless of the location.

Syarpa is a neobank that focuses on Africans within the continent and outside the continent, offering tailored services that meet the unique needs of this market.

My Role at Syarpa

Team Leadership

Worked collaboratively and managed a team of 3 UX Designers, 4 Front-End Developers, 3 Mobile developers and 3 Backend Engineers. I had daily time-boxed stand-up meetings, sprints, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

User Research

Ran different Google Forms to confirm and discover more information about target needs. In one of the first Google Forms, they got +300 answers in 3 days without any massive web campaign.

User Testing

Tested the prototype with final users in the United Kingdom, Nigeria and Ghana. Everybody they talked with got very interested in the app, they were willing to donate their time to help, and also participated in the workshops, surveys and beta testing.

Go-to-Market

Worked hand in hand with the marketing team for product launch.

Multi-Currency Wallet

This feature allows Syarpa customers to own more than one currency which is usually their location currency type. Customers now have access to four currency wallets which are NGN, GBP, EUR, and USD.
